Sabah Trip : whitewater rafting @ Padas river

Day 5.


no good. i fell sick. having fever and i drank a lot water but not much helped.


got into bus after breakfast and heading to whitewater rafting at Beaufort town.




our meal box. ee. i hate banana.


after a few hours, finally we reached Beaufort town.
our journey started from Borneo railway. but how do we get to the starting point of the white water rafting? well, simply by this.



it's called Flinstone Trolley. you'll sit on a plank and a guy will push you via a long pole.



the journey will take you around 1 hour to the starting point. then the Riverbug crew will brief us.






since i don't have waterproof camera. so no photos when we're rafting. everybody's having fun but not me 'cause i wasn't feeling well.

anyway, if you are dare for some challenging experience, you really should try this.

Sabah Trip : Kinabalu Park + Ranau + Kundasang

Day 3.


stayed at Kinabalu Park after back from Mt. Kinabalu.





that was a huge park and i wonder why the hell they built the restaurant so far away from the chalets. my legs were so sore and i nearly fainted when i saw many staircase got to walk through.


checked out after breakfast. went to Sg. Moroli next for fish feeding.



we saw someone selling unknown fruits beside the river.



it looks like coconut but smells like mango. it's called bambang but we created another name for it, Sabah mango.



my uncles bought some and wanted to bring home for my grandma but regretted once they tried it.



i wanted to spit out once i put some into my mouth but no rubbish bin over there. no choice. have to swallow it.

whoo. so many fish but we got only 15 minutes to feed them.



they keep sucking my fingers.


uncle superman was so excited when he tries to catch the fish.





then we had our lunch at Kundasang. their mee soto was good. and when my uncle ordered siu gai yek, i saw they're frying don't know what is that. so i asked my uncle..

superman : boss, sayap 10. dan itu daging apa? kambing kaa?
hawker : bukan. itu @#$%#$%^ [ i didn't know what he said]
superman : oh leopard.
me : LEOPARD!!??
eldon : no la. elephant.
me : ha?? elephant??
superman : ya meh?? must try la. boss bagi 5.

when the chicken wings and 'elephant' is served, and when my uncle put 'elephant' in his mouth.

superman : cehhhh. elephant/leopard your head la. chicken's liver la.

...

we got our certificate. they spelled wrong uncle Rouis's name so he was the photographer.




then we sit in the van for hours again to back to KK town. went to reflexology after bak kut teh.



well. that was my 1st foot massage. one word to describe. song.

Sabah Trip : mountain climbing 2

Day 3.


lucky for us. the rain stopped at 2am.



group photo in the resthouse. but my uncle superman wasn't there.



because he was still dreaming.


we continued our journey at around 2.40am. a head torch is essential because you can't see anything out there and the route is slippery.



after 3 hours of climbing, we had reached around 500m away from the summit [Low's peak]. we knew we can't make it to the peak because we were rushing for another activity. so we missed the sunrise but my uncle said the view over there is nicer than the peak.





the weather up there was so cold and my body keep trembling even though i wore 2 pair of gloves. since we couldn't make it to the summit, we were taking photos and having fun while wait for the others.

we went back to the 7 km point and go for the world's highest and Asia's 1st via ferrata.












normally the intermediate route would take 3 hours to Laban Rata but we spend around 6 hours because of raining and the 1st team was very slow [we were the 2nd team] and i fell asleep many times while wait for the 1st team. anyway guys you should try this if you have the chance. and there are a few more highlights i didn't capture like walking on a string. you guys can check out the video below.



then we took another trail and spend 3 hours to go down from Laban Rata. i found that trail is much more harder than the Mesilau trail. wonder why Mesilau trail is not recommended for the first timer. and my uncle told me the record of Mount Kinabalu climbing [up and down] is just 2 and half hours. chi sin. i believe that guy must be installed turbo engine on his body.


that's it the mountain climbing part. my Sabah trip hasn't end. so stay tuned.

Sabah trip : mountain climbing

Day 2.


woke up at around 4am. departed at around 6am from KK town and took 2 hours to reach mt. Kinabalu.

well, that wasn't the starting point for us. since we're going to take the Mesilau trail, the 2 km longer and harder trail, we need to go to Kundasang, 45 minutes away from there.

everybody had his own lunch box. we knew it's too early to have lunch but we couldn't stand for the starvation.

after 6 hours of climbing, finally we reached Laban Rata, the place we we gonna stay.





the weather was so cold. my fingers almost frozen and i could barely move it. i keep drinking hot coffee but not much help.

all of us sleep very early that night 'cause we don't have no much time to rest and we had to continue our climbing at 2am on the next day...

Sabah Trip : KL - KK

Here's my sabah trip.





I just love flying. but not on Air Asia's plane.



while everyone is enjoying the flight,



my uncle superman [he called himself superman] was enjoying digging his nose.



spotted this island before landing. isn't that beautiful?



here is our plane. we took our breakfast on the plane. i ordered nasi lemak. it's so _____ .

Reached KK (Kota Kinabalu) after 2 and half hours flight. there were total 29 persons in our group. so had to take 3 vans separately to guesthouse.

i just realized KK is just a small town but i like that place. it's so clean and beautiful. unlike penang, rubbish everywhere. err. but the weather over there is so hot. the sun was like sucking our sweat from our body.

went to have lunch after checked in. i ordered yee mee and omgwtf it's so big size. i nearly couldn't finish that.

well, i guess that's a great place for Malay to date?


after enough taking pictures, uncle superman suggested go to market. wonder why he just love to go to market.



it's a real big two storey market. the upper floor is food court and clothes department.



i didn't know since when i've become his personal photographer. he keep passing his camera to me to take pictures of him and make me couldn't use my camera to take more pictures. he doesn't mind if the picture is ugly. he's satisfied as long as himself is in the photo.


Guess what i saw outside the market?






kids were playing MARBLES!! i almost forgot the existence of this traditional game. 'cause it's so hard to see kids playing this kinda games over here. kids nowadays are so lucky got psp, playstation, wii and computer games to play. so i think sooner or later traditional games will be forgotten, eliminated and replaced by computer games.




philipino market. they're selling handcraft over there. i saw many ukulele and it's cute. i wanted to buy but it's too hard to bring back. and some philipino were playing kapok guitar and singing outside the market. i wonder how much they could earn in a day.



the coconut drinks selling place. the pillar is so weird.


i was looking for slipper so we went back to the market, the upper floor.

and i saw this above the exit of the food court.



i laughed when i saw this and i think Weng Chun should see this.

i found my slipper over there and i was shocked 'cause i never thought can meet any Hakka over there.


the buildings over there is interesting because most of them are connected with footbridge. so you could easily go to shopping mall from other place. it's so convenient.



and the footbridge is so big and long. until many people are selling handcrafts and bracelets.



see the yellow mark? they've got their own fixed place. like the car park.

dinner at Asia City. went to there by cab but we went to the wrong place. gotta walk a long way to the correct place.



i thought we're going for seafood. but what we've got was something like steamboat. i didn't like it but i like the yam rice. it's so tasty.

then we had to walk back to hotel. my legs were so tired and i worried that i couldn't make it to the peak on the next day.

had a sleepless night because someone was singing at the bar and it was so noisy. and at the same time i was so excited until i couldn't sleep well.


- end of day 1 -

went to sabah for 1 week and stay in kl for 2 weeks. and now. im back! xD
gonna post about my sabah trip next time. national park 1st.

Day 1:

woke up at around 5am and so sorry have to kick pehn back home so early.
our journey started around 6am and took more than 6 hours until you couldn't feel your butt to reach national park.

the only activity on day one was just night jungle walk.







felt like being cheated. just saw some bugs and we were letting mosquito suck our blood.

Day 2:

the restaurant is so far away from our room and we need to walk for a long long way to there.
jungle trekking and canopy walk next.

at 1st you'll feel very excited on the suspension bridge. but after 10 minutes you'll feel like walking on a never ending bridge.

after lunch we took sampan to another place to swim. rm50 per person wth.




here is the place. and there is a board stated NO SWIMMING. Oh GREAT.





that's all. no more programs. want more you have to pay at least rm50 for each activity.
checked out on next day morning and back home.


oh forgot to tell. that was the worst trip i ever had. why?
1st. there is no tv no phones in your room
2nd. their service sucks.
3rd. got bloodstain on my blanket


4th. souvenir is extremely expensive. 1 hat rm78.
5th. food provided sucks
6th. no other entertainment at the resort besides watching tv at the restaurant.



i'll never back to that place again. ...

just back from work in pikom pc fair. this wasn't the 1st time i work as sales promoter but my sales result is bad. anyway i still managed to hit the target.

this sohai colleague use the built-in web cam to self-capture.



she did delete her picture but i accidentally found her picture in the recycle bin.
i set this picture as background wallpaper. she didn't know that until a kepoh customer told her. and a blush came into her cheeks. XD
i guess she will never know i'm the one did this to her. nyahaha.


gotta sleep now. Sabah and Mt. Kinabalu are waiting for me.

well. i don't have to impersonate any celebrity. i have my own style.



yea. that's my style and i'll call myself the music man. i'll covered up my face and nobody will know how do i look like. i'm mysterious. just like most of the superheroes.

i'm famous. and held a lot of concert in many countries. and all my fans will impersonate me. use paper bag to cover their face while attending my concert.



i'll become billionaire. stay in big house and drive nice car. and 'music man' will be my car's plate number.



i play 2 roles at the same time - music man / an ordinary person. my family and all my friends around me will never know that i'm actually a superstar. just like most of the superheroes. though i don't have superpower to save the world. i can bring joy to the world. i can still hang out with my friends, chit-chat with my buddies at mamak stall, wear my singlet and short pants to shopping. i don't have to worry about paparazzi stalking me and i have the freedom that all other celebrities don't have.

yiu. i've lost my proton mpv.
Proton Exora is the name of the 1st proton mpv. given by a malay kakak. birdranger and i also think that Exora sounds like Rexona. no more ketiak busuk. XD
and actually there are 39 entries submitting the name Exora. but the winning entry by that kakak was chosen because of her tagline, "Keriangan Keluarga". alar. isn't that very lame?
and there is a lot of dissatisfaction and disappointment with the result. you guys can read about that here. read the comments too. some really can make you laugh. heh.
well. just a name already has a lot of problem. according to Proton's record, more dissatisfaction and disappointment will come. good luck la Proton.


nah. here is the real Proton Exora. i think the car front similar to Proton Gen2.
as what birdranger told me. Proton LOVE to mix and match. they combined Toyota Wish and Proton Gen2. and that's the 1st Proton mpv. but the front light changed abit la.
